The GOOD Challenge was created to help charities engage their communities with philanthropic experiences that can be done from anywhere, are really fun, and are designed to foster human connection. We pride ourselves on being low footprint, high give back, and on making sure the charities we work with get to focus their time and resources on the important work they do. Our experiences make giving back more fun, accessible, and rewarding.
The GOOD Challenge
Meghan Reesor has been an active philanthropist for as long as she can remember. She has built a successful career spanning over 15 years as a strategic leader in retail, specifically focusing on brands with purpose at their core and in the social enterprise space. She has worked with non-profits for many years and understands just how precious time and resources are in this space, especially now.
In March of 2020, when the pandemic hit, she was six weeks away from her due date with her second child. She spent that time closing down an organization she had spent the better half of a decade with, delivering impactful work that contributed to millions of dollars in donations.
As life as we knew it rapidly transformed, and while Meghan was on maternity leave, she became acutely aware of how hard hit the non-profit sector was with disposable income and consumer spending on the decline, and traditional fundraising methods like galas and bake sales becoming obsolete. She knew her future was rooted in purpose, and from there, the GOOD Challenge was born.
The GOOD Challenge is on a mission to make doing good memorable, fun and shareable while giving consumers new and meaningful ways to connect with like-minded peers.
Our Challenge Packs that give back come in a book with 10 challenges and include adventurous games and activities that will push you out of your comfort zone and get you trying new things. For every Challenge Pack purchased, we donate at least 20% of every dollar ($10 per pack) to one of over a dozen charitable organizations, chosen by the consumer. Funds are allocated by the charity to the place of greatest need at the time of donation. Plus, we include a bonus GOOD challenge with every pack that will get you out doing something positive in your community.
We reward our Challengers with awesome prizes from Canadian brands that care. Challengers submit evidence that they completed each challenge and are then entered for a chance to win one of our prizes. Once a challenge is complete, it can then be passed along, as the instructions for each are designed to be mailed like a postcard. There is even a little spot for a stamp and to write a note to the person you nominate. We make it easy by giving you everything you need to spread the word, join The GOOD Challenge community and be part of building it.
