The GOOD Challenge was created to help charities engage their communities with philanthropic experiences that can be done from anywhere, are really fun, and are designed to foster human connection. We pride ourselves on being low footprint, high give back, and on making sure the charities we work with get to focus their time and resources on the important work they do. Our experiences make giving back more fun, accessible, and rewarding.

The GOOD Challenge

Meghan Reesor has been an active philanthropist for as long as she can remember. She has built a successful career spanning over 15 years as a strategic leader in retail, specifically focusing on brands with purpose at their core and in the social enterprise space. She has worked with non-profits for many years and understands just how precious time and resources are in this space, especially now.

In March of 2020, when the pandemic hit, she was six weeks away from her due date with her second child. She spent that time closing down an organization she had spent the better half of a decade with, delivering impactful work that contributed to millions of dollars in donations.

As life as we knew it rapidly transformed, and while Meghan was on maternity leave, she became acutely aware of how hard hit the non-profit sector was with disposable income and consumer spending on the decline, and traditional fundraising methods like galas and bake sales becoming obsolete. She knew her future was rooted in purpose, and from there, the GOOD Challenge was born.

The GOOD Challenge is on a mission to make doing good memorable, fun and shareable while giving consumers new and meaningful ways to connect with like-minded peers.

Our Challenge Packs that give back come in a book with 10 challenges and include adventurous games and activities that will push you out of your comfort zone and get you trying new things. For every Challenge Pack purchased, we donate at least 20% of every dollar ($10 per pack) to one of over a dozen charitable organizations, chosen by the consumer. Funds are allocated by the charity to the place of greatest need at the time of donation. Plus, we include a bonus GOOD challenge with every pack that will get you out doing something positive in your community.

Challengers submit evidence that they completed each challenge and are then entered for a chance to win one of our prizes. Once a challenge is complete, it can then be passed along, as the instructions for each are designed to be mailed like a postcard. What comes with my Challenge Pack?

When you place your order, you’ll get one book of challenges that includes 10 themed challenges and one bonus GOOD challenge. Every challenge is designed to be cut right out of the book so you can pass it on physically to someone else. We do not include any supplies for our challenges, but we try to keep them to a minimum. Our goal is to keep our footprint low and our give back high. Most supplies you likely already have or can easily access. We keep things open-ended in your challenges, so you can get as creative as your brain and budget allow!

Where do my charity dollars go?

We give back at least 20% for every Challenge Pack purchased. We generally give $10 for each challenge pack sold, however, we often partner with brands, creators, and communities with the goal of increasing the give back. See how our promo codes work below. All our donations are directed to the charity our Challengers choose. We ask the charities we support to allocate the funds to the place of greatest need at the time of donation.

Do I get a tax receipt for the donation?

We are not a charity, which means we are unable to issue tax receipts. We are a social enterprise, which allows us to create an experience that multiple charities can leverage to raise funds for their philanthropic iniaitives.

How do I enter evidence to win prizes?

Snap some photos or some short video footage during each challenge to prove you completed it. We give you awesome ideas to get some great content. Share it with us by scanning the QR code in your Challenge Pack and fill in the form. If you do not have your order number, don’t worry! We’ll confirm this with you should you win. We choose winners monthly for our prizes from those who have submitted their evidence. Each challenge completed means more entries toward winning our prizes.

How can I nominate others?

When you’re done your challenge, cut it right out of the book and pass it on to nominate someone else to join in on the fun! Our challenges are designed to be shareable: we even give you a spot for postage and a place to write a little note.

How much does shipping cost?

We ship via Canada Post and have options for standard and expedited. This will automatically calculate your estimated shipping cost and estimated delivery. We ship all orders out within 24-48 hours of receiving your confirmed order.

What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of our products, we do not allow returns or exchanges unless there is something defective or incorrect with your order.

How do promo codes work?

Increase the donation amount and track how you activated your community with our promo codes. Anytime one of these codes is used, we’ll increase the donation amount by 10%. We never discount our donation: we actually use promo codes to give back more to the cause.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time we only ship to Canada, however, we are actively building out an international shop that will feature different charities and prizes from around the globe.

Our goal is to list as many charities as possible and give these non-profits an opportunity to engage their communities in a unique way to drive dollars in their door. What if I want to give to a charity not listed?

We do our due diligence and choose the charities we work with carefully. Any charity we support is registered in Canada. For our local and themed editions, you can only choose for your donation to go to one of our listed options. For the team edition, however, we can direct the donation to any cause of your choosing.
