EYA supports BIPOC and youth facing barriers to connect with nature and become environmental leaders. Their free, land-based education and paid employment training programs engage youth to restore wildlife habitat and create Indigenous foodscapes in Vancouver’s east side communities while developing skills and confidence in environmental stewardship. All EYA programs are led by BIPOC youth with guest visits from Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers.
